Baby, I have no story to be told,
But I’ve heard one on you and I’m gonna make your head burn
stiles sliding his fingers up derek’s shoulders and neck where his skin is soft and smooth and kissing the barely-there freckles (◡‿◡✿)
remember when our biggest problem was finding out who the alpha was
now everyone’s the alpha.
In case you weren’t aware, the Season 2 DVD came out today and has a whole montage of moments just like this. You should consider buying it, immediately. Run.
one of the (many) problems i have with the teen wolf fandom is their kneejerk reactions to new female characters. it’s rarely, “i can’t wait to see how your story pans out.” it’s, “you’re going to betray my favs, and i’m going to hate you.”
i’ve seen people say this about ms. blake. i’ve seen them say this about cora. and while it’s a perfectly logical assumption given how everyone is betraying everyone else, it pisses me off that this is the first thing that comes to mind with the female characters, even ones seemingly aligned with derek and his pack or the humans. we literally know nothing about them, yet so many people are already convinced they’re gonna be ‘huge bitches’ and hurt poor derek’s manfeelings.
no. fucking stop. stop villainizing female characters when you know NOTHING ABOUT THEM.
Alright, usually I prefer to stay out of these things but since I a) have this attitude myself occasionally and b) am starting to get MILDLY annoyed by this topic coming up over and over again I want to reply to this:
Can we for once stop making everything about the female characters? Yes, most hate we read in this tumblr is focused on some of the female characters. But it’s not the ONLY hate there is. How many people really expect Peter to be loyal and not betray Derek in the upcoming seasons? How many people might suspect Ethan to just use Danny or betray him in the end for the sake of his brother and his pack? How many people think even Scott and Derek might turn against each other again? Or Isaac against Derek to be with Scott (in a non-sexual way..)? I have read about all of this, and that seems to be completely okay? I get that there is a very different atmosphere and attitude when people are talking about Ethan’s possible betrayal and Cora’s possible betrayal. But it just feels a little hypocritical in both directions.
The real problem is not that the fandom automatically assumed new female characters are bitches, it’s that the show itself introduces new female characters in a really weird way. I don’t even want to know how many people hated Erica before she had her appearance (and we all fell in love), because the previews had made her look like a complete bitch. We don’t know anything about Cora, so some people assume she might be one of the Alphas - and tbh, that would actually be a cool plot twist?
I haven’t actually read that much hate about her, and I really hope you don’t include people’s speculations in this statement of yours.
As for Ms Blake - this is a bit like seeing your ex with his new girlfriend. Maybe she is super nice - but you automatically hate her before you even talk to her. Of course this is not 100% fitting since none of us are lucky enough to be Derek Hale’s ex, but you get my point. It’s the kind of suspicion and jealousy you get when your father has a new girlfriend or your brother. Women mistrust women, that’s a fact, and it’s biological.
Plus, many people (including myself) just have an allergy against love interests. We all know what that means. Usually they are short lived and there to function as a plot device. Therefore it’s not that far off to assume that Ms Blake will either make Derek unhappy by dying, betraying him or leaving again. And although OF COURSE we don’t know her or her actual story yet, the idea of such a character sucks. It seems like a waste of time and space, especially when you are shipping other things (not only Sterek, no) - which HELLO happens 24/7 here. Welcome to tumblr.
I am prepared for getting hate asks again for this now, but I really don’t care right now. You can call me anti-feminist or whatever, if you really feel the need to, but I just want to tell you upfront that I will laugh at you if you do that.
Feminism doesn’t mean hating men. Equal right does not mean women standing over men, it means EQUAL status. I know this isn’t really the topic of the original post, but I know that’s what I got thrown in my face last time, so I thought I’d add it.
P.S.: I am only referring this to the Teen Wolf fandom and the current situation right now.

show me your teeth.
I will make you hurt.
